Position: Music Director (Moorpark UMC) Moorpark United Methodist Church Location: California The Music Director is responsible, under the guidance of the Pastor, for the musical content of worship services in the Church. The Music Director works closely with the Praise Band (Higher Ground) musicians and sound technicians to rehearse and perform music for most Sundays. On occasion, the Church also has Traditional Services; on these occasions, the Music Director selects hymns and works with the accompanist(s) to provide and to lead the music. When the Music Director is unable to attend Church services, the Music Director is still responsible for the musical content of the worship service and providing direction to the band in advance. The Music Director is responsible for managing the Sunday-by-Sunday personnel makeup of the Band and Tech Crew, making any relevant changes to the music selections (to best fit which band members can attend, for example changes to the instrumentation and vocal assignments), and working with the Tech Crew for changes to the sound board and stage set up / microphone placement / etc. The objective of the Church’s music ministry is to provide enriching and meaningful worship experience through music. #J-18808-Ljbffr
