St. Mary’s Ryken seeks a Band and Orchestra Director. Core Job Responsibilities: • Conduct Concert Band, Honors Wind Ensemble, Honors String Orchestra, Honors Jazz Band, Pit Orchestra and Pep Band • Winter and spring concerts • Prepare and concert band for AMTC adjudication • Instruct music classes such as: AP Music Theory, Fundamentals of Music, American Music History, and Introduction to Wind Brass and Percussion • Act as Advisor for St. Mary's Ryken High School chapter of the Tri-M Music Honors Society • Rehearse and conduct the pit orchestra for the spring musical School Community and Mission Teaching at St. Mary’s Ryken means you are part of a school community that is committed to high standards and students’ long-term success. Outside of the Classroom The teacher will join a vibrant, experienced faculty. The teacher will be expected to be actively involved in the school’s full program which involves advising, sponsoring clubs, chaperoning field trips, being on faculty committees and attending school events.
