The Associate Director, Center for Student Life, is responsible for programs and initiatives within the Center for Student Life that support incoming students including specialized programming for commuter and off-campus students, International students, graduate students, and new transfer students. Lead a team in all aspects of student life for these populations including operating community centers and university lounge spaces. Oversee all aspects of the Center for Student Life’s approach to new student initiatives including NYU Welcome, Fall Welcome, Grad Welcome, and Spring Welcome. Work with CSL leadership team to set the vision and strategy relating to new student welcome, engagement, and sense of belonging initiatives. Liaise with the Executive Director of the Center for Student Life and the Dean of Students Office on initiatives related to Veteran and Military connected students and parent and families initiatives and programming throughout the year.Develop, coordinate, and implement programs and services for the Center for Student Life within the Division of Student Affairs to support fostering an inclusive community at NYU. As an active member of the Center for Student Life team this position will have involvement in student organization advisement, university and departmental policy oversight, program and service assessment, major programming, budget management, communication, marketing, and collaboration across the Center for Student Life and campus partners. Serves with other CSL staff on leading university wide events, and undertake special projects to be assigned at the discretion of the CSL Executive Director. Qualifications Required Education:Bachelor's degree in Student Personnel, Higher Ed, or and/or its equivalent are required.Preferred Education:Masters in Higher Education Administration or related degree.Required Experience:5 years related experience administering programs and/or services to college students. Experience supervising staff.Preferred Experience:5 years’ experience leading and administering programs and/or services to college students, especially those living off campus, and planning and implementing special events and activities. Experience working with university or college commuter students. Experience implementing or overseeing long-term assessment activities for accreditation and divisional requirements.Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills. Ability to communicate with a diverse population verbally and in writing. Ability to supervise staff and administer budgets. Knowledge of standard office software package.Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:Experience working with university or college students especially with undergraduate and graduate student populations. Additional Information In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $80,000.00 to USD $90,000.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
